Photo by @michaelmelford - Guilin, China on the Li river looking at the amazing Karst Hills made up of limestone and formed by erosion. I’ve wanted to come here for about 30 years after having seen my first images of this area.
Just one day was a tease, and hope to return for some serious photography with better light. Having been to three times this past year, I always see the same light- They like to call it haze, or fog, but sometimes it’s called smoke on the weather app. Is it caused by burning the fields after harvest, or coal burning power plants, or something else?? @natgeocreative @thephotosociety #china #guilin #nature #river #natgeoexpeditions
