Mercredi matin, la capsule Soyouz transportant le Russe Sergueï Volkov, son compatriote Mikhaïl Kornienko et l'Américain Scott Kelly,s'est posée dans les steppes kazakhes, au sud-est de Jezkazgan, dans le centre du pays. Mikhaïl Kornienko et Scott Kelly ont passé 340 jours (un record) à bord de la station spatiale internationale pour préparer de futures missions habitées vers Mars
