He looks like he is sleeping, but really he is in pain. He is trying not to lay on his wound so it won't make it more painful. My poor baby is trying to stay comfortable.
Edit: people always ask me, how am I handling this so well, because they don't know what they will do if this happens to their fur babies. All I can say is that the only thing that is keeping me together is the fact Butters story is being shared and he is doing a good thing by sharing his tragedy with the world. I can put the dog that did this to him away, but there are so many more dogs out there without good owners. So that is what I keep telling myself when I wake up each day seeing my baby in pain. I cry, I ache, and then I tell myself he is a hero and his suffering will make a difference.
