I have had comments where people say my family room is for those who don't have kids. Well here is a reality check, I have 3 kids including a toddler. My home is not perfect, my home is not always tidy and put together... That's the reality. This is half of the mess we had this morning.. I promise it was A LOT worse. Half way through tidying up I decided to take a shot and show you my reality. No one is perfect but it's about accepting that you can have a well decorated home with nice things as well as have kids around. I can't comprehend the mentality of " I'll have a nice home once my kids are out of the house, in the mean time I just don't care." Life is short not to take the time to make your house your home. I can assure you almost every home I feature on this page goes through this... Messes and clean up. I highly doubt we all have perfectly spotless homes 24/7. My kids have chores and they can make the mess, but know to help clean up once they are done. No food or water allowed in here (except for my son's sippy cup). Kitchens are for eating and crafts. #truth everyone has a different way of making their house feel like home. Coffee table has protective edges that I removed to windex the table then I put them back
