#WHPvibrant asked community members to make brightly colored photos and videos filled with energy — like this one by Bo Apitz (@le_ciudad), a photographer for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation tribal newspaper in Oklahoma.
“JR is a ‘fancy dancer’ and has really elaborate and colorful regalia,” says Bo of the championship powwow dancer featured in this photo. “The inspiration I get for my images comes from trying to create an out of this world aesthetic.”
