It’s @elisabethontheroad again, and here’s a shot of me halfway up the Four Mile trail in Yosemite last week. Shortly after this photo was snapped, my hiking partner and I made the decision to head back down to the valley, because we noticed some nasty weather moving in. In addition to the wind and the fact that the trail was closed after the 2/3 mark, there was ice, snow and rock slides to contend with. Needless to say, we ended up cutting our adventure a bit short. This was only the second time in the last year I’ve had to do that, and as defeating as it was, sometimes making the safe choice is the best one. (Photo by @goldiehawn_)
