Happy 56th birthday to Joachim Löw! His feat in guiding Germany to the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy earned him the FIFA World Coach of the Year award. Löw, who was an industrious forward in his playing days, moved up from assistant coach to the top job after the 2006 FIFA World Cup which Germany hosted and reached the semi-finals. He helped end the country’s eighteen-year wait for silverware as ‘Die Mannschaft’ beat Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final courtesy of Mario Götze’s extra-time strike.
