本日はクラチカ ヨシダ表参道にて取り扱い中のpostがセレクトした洋書のご紹介です。 言わずと知れたファッション・メゾン、Louis Vuitton（ルイ・ヴィトン）。 創始者の孫にあたる3代目のGaston Louis-Vuitton（ガストン・ルイ・ヴィトン）は、 さまざまな分野に造詣が深く、また生涯にわたり旅人であったと言われています。
本書は、ガストンが個人的にコレクションしていたラベルを多数収録しています。 なかでも特にホテルの利用客のトランクに貼られるホテルのラベルステッカーの収集はその数3,000点を超え、圧倒的なコレクションであったことが伺えます。 「ホテルのプロモーションを狙ってゲストの荷物に貼り付けられたラベルは、 その持ち主の旅がいかに素晴らしいものであったかという証になる」というエピソードは、 非常に興味深いものです。

This book includes the personal collection of labels that Gaston was gathering. Especially, the collection of label stickers to put on the guest's trunks at hotels are over 3,000pcs which is very overwhelming.
