A heard of curious Llamas stands in the wilderness of the Argentine Altiplano, not far from Abra Pampa, a small town in the province of Jujuy. These animals are a crucial for the development of the local economy and are significant presence within the indigenous cultural heritage. Since centuries, they provide wool and meet for the locals.

This picutre is part of a larger body of work developed by the #BiophiliaFoundation created by @marcovernaschi to develop the first fair-trade platform representing South American rural farmers. The story, titled #ArgentineIdentities was published by @ナショナルジオグラフィック magazine in April 2015.
