Despite moving to sunny Los Angeles, I never forgot what learned from my days back east. Since Los Angeles has been experiencing a chilly winter, my knowledge has been put into practice to ensure I stay cozy and warm this season. Layering has proven to be not only fashionable but most importantly functional.
This look was shot in the beautiful countryside just outside of Pasadena, CA. This light yet wintery look showcases a nice contrast between NY classic layering and LA's casual whimsy. Although we faced rain, fog and hail throughout the shoot, the sight of the fog hanging over the pines reminded me of home. Since LA folk basically live in their cars, I always feel most prepared when I keep backup wardrobe in my trunk in case of emergencies. In this case, I was very grateful to have my umbrella at my fingertips. My favorite winter accessory I like to keep on hand is a nice pair of gloves.
