Photo by @nickcobbing Looking down over the Lance ship as the research vessel moves through the sea ice in the Arctic Ocean. The surrounding cracks mean the ship is free of the ice and able to navigate a path through the floes. Later the ship became frozen 'fast' in the ice, meaning the ice all around the ship's hull was strong enough to walk on. That's when our story began..
