" DECEMBER 9wed→23wed Deus Ex Machina原宿店B1F にて FUSTY WORKSの個展を開催中 Fustyとは、かび臭いとか時代遅れという意味。クラシックな細かい線画を得意とし、見た目のかっこよさよりもその中にストーリーを感じるものをコンセプトに作品を制作する絵描きである、KEN SUGIHARAが手掛けるFUSTY WORKS, 近年の代表作として、アメリカ東海岸で毎年開催されている旧車レース、The Race Of Gentlemenのメインロゴ、Harley Davidson社公認の唯一のブロンズアーティスト、Jeff Deckerのバンダナ、国内では、アパレルブランドのRats、Challenger、Addict Clothes、バイクカスタムのBrat Style、Obscura Coffee Roastersや横浜ベイスターズなどにも作品を提供するなど、幅広く活躍している。角界で活躍するアーティストと彼がつくり出す作品を、是非この機会にご覧下さい。 #AREYOUHUNGRY_FUSTY Photo by @misspakuo An exhibition by Ken Sugihara a.k.a. FUSTY WORKS is underway at Deus Harajuku. The definition of ”fusty” is the moldy, musty and sometimes old-fashioned or out-of-date. The concept of his artwork is to give a feeling of story behind his specialty of classical and precise outline, rather than just giving eye-pleasing artwork. Some of his noted creations are the recent main logo for The Race Of Gentlemen, a bandana designed for Jeff Decker, the only official sculptor of Harley Davidson along with a number of produced works for bike creators Bratsyle, fashion brands Neighborhood & Challenger as well as many other industries in Japan. This current exhibition presents not only his most recent work but art pieces he collaborated with artists he respects.
