The otherworldly cliffs of China's Zhangjiajie National Forest Park were the real world inspiration for the floating Hallelujah Mountains of Pandora in James Cameron's film 'Avatar'. 3000 sandstone pillars shrouded much of the time in mist make this the classical landscape painting. Some of these pillars rise up to 500 meters, averaging 300 to 400 meters, and numbering in the thousands.
