I figured I should address this. I came for one reason: records. I did not come to win. At this meet, it was me against records. That's all I care about. Yeah medals and titles are great, but that's not what I was after. It was my last chance for any junior records. We knew the risks coming in: I would be tired, I wouldn't be recovered, blah blah blah, but we had to TRY. And I gave EVERYTHING I had. Everything. And I didn't have that much to give after a long week at worlds and a long year of competing in 3 international and 4 national meets along with local ones. No excuses, it just wasn't my day. My body wasn't there, my mind wasn't there, so the lifts weren't there. I felt 100% exhausted and did my best to block it out and push through despite missing 3 different warm ups in the back. Opening lower was not the purpose of coming. I decided not to clean and jerk because I knew I couldn't pull out a 128 which is what I needed. Anything else would have just been extra training for me after missing all my snatches. Am I upset? Fuck yeah. Will I get over it? Of course. Will I come back stronger? Hell. Fucking. Yes. This is just a bump in the road, everyone's gotta bomb sometime in their career, shit look at half the Chinese men's team a worlds. I'm just glad I got it out of my system now. On to the next one.
