"Toys" in this installation I have gathered a collection of children's toy guns and stripped back the candy colors and orange safety tips and laid them out like a weapons cache on a monochromatic backdrop to illustrate how lifelike they are. The blood signifies the child's imagination, loss of innocence, and the seeds of violence planted in the subconscious. This is part of our culture: Cowboys and Indians, Cops and Robbers... The question is if we encourage our children to play with guns do we desensitize them to violence and encourage violent fantasies? Now more than ever we have to recognize the repercussions. #hotdogshamburgersandhandguns
