After 2000 years spent in the darkness of the Rhône River, the marble head of Aesculapius arises from the water, held by a diving archaeologist who found it at around 7 meters deep on the river bed. Aesculapius in ancient Greece was the doctor on board of The Argo, the boat sailed by Jason and the heroes Atalante, Hector, Pollux, Orpheus, Theseus and Heracles on their quest to the Golden Fleece. Their Journey is said to have taken place 4000 years ago. Perhaps some will be intrigued to know that I might have found the origins of their legend while doing a story deep in the Caucasus Mountains 16 years ago, probably a future storytelling on ig.
