When Johnathan Lee Iverson was named #ringmaster at @ringlingbros in 1998, he was both the traveling circus's first African-American ringmaster and the youngest in its history. While on assignment for @NYTMag, the photographer @stephsinclairpix spent 11 days photographing @ringlingbros #circus performers and their staff. Each year, they spend 44 weeks aboard the circus train, traveling an average of 20,000 miles from coast to coast.
