This week, TIME’s Karl Vick looks at how Iran’s society is changing while @Magnum Photos Newsha Tavakolian (@newshatavakolian) captured the subtle dynamics of her own country. “At the very moment that the Islamic Republic has made a deal on its nuclear program with the U.S. and other world powers, it has also struck a bargain with its own people: Leave politics entirely to us, and you’ll be left alone to live your lives more or less as you wish,” Vick writes.
