This is my first ever trip to Yellowstone National Park. Several times on this journey, I've found myself walking away from wild animals as they approach too close for comfort. last week, this bull elk sauntered out of the woods and began casually walking down the middle of the highway, causing somewhat of a frenzied tourist traffic jam. Established in 1872, Yellowstone is considered the world's first national park. Many generations of animals have now thrived within park boundaries without experiencing humans as a serious threat.
