But whenever I think about ‘coming out,’ I get nervous and confused. Come out of what? Come out of where? Now that I have found out who I truly am, why does everyone want me to make a grand announcement to the world?
I now realize that I am lucky to have a platform through social media to share my experiences with the hopes of helping others. So here it is: I am gay, and I’m proud of being part of the LGBTQ community. But I also know that being gay is one part of me. Who we are and who we love exists on an amazing spectrum that is literally light-years wide. When you peel back all the labels, we are all human. And more than anything, that’s how I identify.” #nationalcomingoutday
