Cecil's only problem was being born in a world with tons of stupid people who are afraid of intimacy so the only way to satisfy that intimacy issue is to penetrate a living being with a bullet, knife or arrow. These intellectual and spiritual dwarves are so afraid of living their own lives that they try to hide it with this pseudo-courageous "Adventure". And if you add the jealousy factor because obviously a Lion, a Tiger or any other animal is way more beautiful than all the idiots hunting them then we have a problem.
The stupid Walter Palmer and all those fools just needed to get more hugs from their parents. That way they would not be petrified of their girlfriend or boyfriend in those moments of intimacy and they would be satisfied once for all. All these cowards are just petrified of life.
