It's located on the eastern edge of the maritime climate of the Pacific Northwest and marks the extreme eastern limits for western hemlocks and red cedars. Yesterday evening I explored the area with @danahrichardson, enjoying the fall weather. This is a special time to be here, the tall dark trees are decorated with vibrantly colorful deciduous undergrowth creating scenes like this of complimentary colors.
