The annual flood of the delta is roughly 11 cubic of km of water that originates and flows from the Angolan Highlands. @drsteveboyes and @intotheokavango recently completed a comprehensive human powered scientific mega-transect of the entire Cuito catchment, one of two main sources of the Delta. It took 119 days and was made possible by a grant from the @ナショナルジオグラフィック expeditions council among many other branches. Hopefully, the science yielded from this journey will act as a catalyst for the upstream protection of the Delta and all the life it supports. @natgeocreative @thephotosociety
