photo @lucalocatelliphoto A view from the top of a nuclear reactor inside the decomissioned Unit Six of the Greifswald nuclear power station in Germany. The reactor was finished but never been operated since. It was a unique occasion for me to see how a nuclear reactor looks like inside. It was a Soviet type reactor with total power of 408MW and was the largest nuclear power station in East Germany before its closure in 1991. At its peak, the plant employed around 10,000 full-time workers, around 1,000 workers are still working on decommissioning activities for more than 30 years.
