Advanced Basecamp!!! @adrianballinger, Tula (one of our basecamp cooks), and I arrived to 18,700ft yesterday and were greeted by three members of our Sherpa climbing team. We were tired and feeling a bit light-headed from the 3000ft elevation gain, but @Tenzing99, Mingma, and Palden already had the milk tea ready. "Du-Cha" is a very common drink in Sherpa mountain culture, and is similar to Chai. A mix of black tea, powdered milk, and copious amounts of sugar helped keep the altitude symptoms at bay for a bit longer.
