This marks the official end of my gymnastics career... I'm overwhelmed with mixed emotions. I'm anxious to keep my body healing and get healthy. I'm sad that it's officially over (and this time it's really for good...) I'm excited to start my new role as an assistant coach in the upcoming season. But most of all I am thankful. To all my current and previous team mates, coaches, trainers/ physios, directors/staff, friends, family and everyone else who has played a role in my gymnastics career. I feel so blessed to have had such amazing support throughout this journey. I've been lucky enough to have been able to experience the elite world and the NCAA world... both so different yet both so incredible! They've given me plenty of competition memories that I will never forget, like walking out with my GB team mates into a roaring Olympic stadium home crowd in London 2012, or sticking my vault and getting a personal best and the most high fives in Stanford last season! Competing may be over for me but I will continue to make gymnastics memories as a big fan and friend of the community! This year specifically I will be doing everything I can to support this season's Bruins as an undergraduate assistant coach. Although this sport is undeniably tough (on your body, mind and schedule) I don't regret a single moment, good or bad. Gymnastics has taught me so much about the world and about myself. It has given me friends, lessons and experiences that will stay with me for the rest of my life. ?
