Happy #WorldLionDay! Did you know: African lions are vulnerable to extinction due to habitat loss, conflict with humans and trophy hunting. Here at the National Zoo, we are fortunate to have a growing pride that includes a father (Luke), two mothers (Naba and Shera), and six cubs! Having a pride gives keepers and scientists a chance to study lion biology, development and pride dynamics.
