A small ritual I do around water, since day 1 of all this nonsense.. A kind of christening or final unification of all contact points via a moment of continuous water coverage. And in no way (that I'm aware of) does the water help or hinder the physical balance, unless, of course, I splash too hard.. Remember that the balance can withstand much more force if the majority of contact force is aligned with gravity. Sometimes I risk it all before snapping a photo, sometimes not. Depends on the rocks. And my mood.

For the photographers, also notice how the water immediately boosts the contrast of rocks over background.
