Near the iconic Genbaku ( literally atomic bomb) Dome in Hiroshima, swimmers for Sinden-Ryu, who inherit one of the Japanese ancient and samurai swimming styles, practice in the river. The Genbaku Dome now becomes the super icon of peace. I shot this image, 5 years ago — Aug 06, 2011, the 66th anniversary of the atomic bombing on the city. Yet, I want to post today to give homage to a quarter million of victims, especially as this year marks the 70th anniversary and the controversial war legacy still continues. (The death toll number is counted in accumulation, though it is still debatable.) Shot by non mobile camera.
