Motorcyclists ride the Beartooth Highway as they wind their way down from the 10,947 foot Beartooth Pass and head for Red Lodge, Montana. The highway, typically closed from October to May because of heavy snowfall, zigzags along the Montana-Wyoming border and through portions of Custer National Forest, the Shoshone National Forest and along the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness.
