To get closer to the heart of this project, I moved from hotel to hotel depending on where the action was in the neighborhood. However, the biggest challenge proved to be when to focus on the still images and when to shoot moving images AND when to concentrate on the audio. The final output actually dictates how the project was pursued and Robert Bresson was so accurate to state "If the eye is entirely won, give nothing or almost nothing to the ear. And vice versa, if the ear is entirely won, give nothing to the eye. One can not be at the same time all eye and all ear." #temeke #daressalaam #tanzania
