"Consumption and responsibility have played a big role in the work I've been doing over the past few years. What is meant by globalization, and what specifically does it mean for people? How does our lifestyle influence the lives of others? Who are the winners and who are the losers? On principle, I also find it important to photograph stories abroad, that have something to do with our lives here," shares Kai Löffelbein who travelled to Shantou, China to document the production conditions under which toys are manufactured.
