#OTD 40 years ago, the Apollo-Souyz spacecraft docked and started an orbital cooperation. Today, we have a completely assembled International Space Station - an orbiting laboratory made by 15 countries where astronauts and cosmonauts from 5 different space agencies live and work together every day to benefit us on Earth and expand our knowledge of the universe.

Next Wednesday, Astronaut Kjell Lindgren (@astro_kjell) of NASA, Commander Oleg Kononenko of the Russian Space Agency and Kimiya Yui of the Japanese Space Agency are set to launch to the station and join them.
