ONE PLANET ONE G-SHOCK

GPS衛星からの位置・時刻情報と世界6局の標準電波の受信を可能にした「SKY COCKPIT」シリーズ、GPW-1000の性能をテストするために行われたUS企画「ONE PLANET ONE G-SHOCK」。「地球上に、死角無し。」を唱うGPSハイブリッド電波ソーラーの機能性を、世界各地の過酷な環境下で試すという、まさにタフネスの中のタフネス企画。フォトグラファーKlaus Thymannを中心に、メキシコの神秘の泉、セノーテ・アンヘリータや、ニュージーランドのタスマン氷河、コンゴのニーラゴンゴ火山などで撮影を敢行しました。

To test the GPS Atomic Solar Hybrid technology built inside the GPW-1000 we partnered with photographer Klaus Thymann and briefed him to circumnavigate the globe documenting extreme environments in remote locations. The expedition travelled through all the world’s timezones such as Mexico, New Zealand and Congo, on a mission to photograph the natural beauty of three unique environments, each with its own set of challenging conditions.
