In recognition of #UNWorldRefugeesDay, to all of the 59.5 million and growing refugees, internally displaced, and seekers of asylum around the world. The stories are not cut and dry and the complexity of the issues continues to grow and grow. There are those that have fallen into the cracks of the system and have had to stay in the shadows like the Captain, النقيب, an #Iraqi officer who fought for his country, was targeted by ISIS, and had to flee with his family. He currently sits in limbo, awaiting a refugee appointment, not recognized internationally, and living day by day to protect himself, his family, and his future.
