Leonard's man-made mountain was built from hay bales, trees, tires, adobe, and hundreds of thousands of gallons of paint. The US Congress registered it as a "folk art site worthy of protection" in 2000. Today I am releasing a book that was made over the seven years I visited The Mountain to document Leonard as he worked and to capture the constantly evolving surface of this amazing Art Environment.
