In Samantha Sanders’s (@samjsand) documentary “Swimming Through,” three women engage in a morning ritual: immersing themselves in extremely cold water. The trio’s sunrise plunge began during the depths of the pandemic, when vaccines weren’t widely available and most people were still isolating at home. Swimming gave the women a way to connect and turned them into friends. “Everything that is wrong or stressful just dissipates,” one of the women says, in the film. At the link in our bio, watch the short documentary in its entirety.
