To create some of our blends, we simply followed our curiosities. With others, we work backward to create a flavor profile we imagined. Our Samra Blend Vol. 1 fits into the latter category. We collaborated with Abel and Samra to find the taste of traditional Ethiopian coffee used in their coffee ceremony, called Buna Tetu. We first envisioned this profile—bright yet comforting with fruit and floral qualities—and then brought together different components and roasted at various levels.
