渋谷慶一郎さんのインスタグラム写真 - (渋谷慶一郎Instagram)「トーマスデマンドはwebに存在する多様な「事件」写真を選び、それを完璧に再現した恐ろしく精緻な模型を自ら作り、さらにそれを撮影して写真作品として着地させる。ここにはレディメイド(web)→オリジナル(模型)→コピー(写真)というプロセスの全てが存在し、同時にオリジナルとは何か？という問いもある。そのサイクルの全てが恐ろしい精度で実現されてることによって唯一無二な芸術が淡々と生み出されている凄味を感じる素晴らしい展覧会だった。長谷川さん、お誘いありがとうございました。スタジオに篭り過ぎてて開催されてるのも知らなかった😌 Thomas Demand selects various photos of "incidents" that exist on the web, creates his own extremely precise models that perfectly reproduce them, and then photographs and lands on these models as photographic works.
