この度、河瀬がエグゼクティブディレクターを務めるなら国際映画祭が、アフリカ人の女性若手映画作家を奈良に招き、映画制作を学んでもらう、人材育成プロジェクトを行うこととなりました。

こちらは、国連が掲げるSDGS(持続可能な開発目標)のうち「ジェンダー（社会的な性差）平等などの実現を目指す一環で、アフリカの女性支援に取り組む国連教育・科学・文化機関（ユネスコ）からの提案で実現します！
本日（さきほど）フランスのユネスコ本部にて会見を行ってきました！

Today, I have a press conference of the project about supporting young women filmmakers in Africa.

Nara International Film Festival invites in Nara for a 2-week filmmaking residency for 10 young women filmmaker from Africa. This film and artist in residence workshop will allow for the transaction exchange and sharing of artistic experience between young African and Japanese filmmakers in a productive creative environment.
UNESCO is engaged in promoting diversity of cultural expressions and gender equality in the arts and cultural industries. The Organization supports initiatives that open mobility and professional opportunities for a new generation of women in Africa to create, make their artistic work visible, accessible and recognised.
